Competition Operations LLC, referred to in this policy as "CompOps," "we," "us," or "our," operates the GotNext Bot Discord bot and its web surfaces on gotnext.gg: the server dashboard at gotnext.gg/elo-bot and the public leaderboard, match, and player pages (the "Service"). GotNext is a product brand operated by CompOps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.
The bot is operated as part of the GotNext.gg platform. The GotNext.gg Privacy Policy applies to your GotNext.gg account generally; this document describes the data practices specific to the bot. By using the GotNext Bot or its web surfaces, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
The dashboard uses your GotNext.gg account. When you sign in with Discord (which creates an account automatically if you don't have one), we request the identify and email OAuth2 scopes and collect:
When you claim a server on the dashboard, we additionally request the guilds scope once, to verify that you manage the Discord server you are claiming. We do not read your Discord messages or friends list, and we do not join servers on your behalf.

If a server subscribes to a paid tier, we store the subscription status, tier, and a Stripe customer reference. Payment card details are collected and held by Stripe, our payment processor: we never see or store full card numbers.

The GotNext Bot operates in Discord servers where it has been invited by a server administrator. This section describes how the Bot handles data.
When the Bot is present in a Discord server, it can access guild membership information, user IDs, usernames, nicknames, and roles of members in that server. This access is limited to what Discord's API provides to bots with the granted permissions.
Bot data is stored in the same database as the rest of the GotNext.gg platform, hosted on our infrastructure provider (see Section 5).
Slash command interactions are processed in real-time and are not logged beyond standard server operation logs.
The Bot may update your Discord nickname to display your ELO rating in the format [1350] YourName. This requires the Bot's role to be higher than your highest role in the server. Server owners' nicknames cannot be changed by any bot (Discord limitation).

The GotNext Bot is not intended for children under 13 years of age, consistent with Discord's own minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected], and we will delete such information.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
