Recommended Workflow

The end-to-end sequence for running a circuit from setup through finals.

Follow these steps in order when running a Circuit season. Some steps (like configuring point rules) should happen before others (like opening registration) to avoid mid-season confusion.

  1. 1

    Create the Circuit

Set name, slug, game, public visibility, circuit window dates, and registration window dates.

  2. 2

    Configure team and roster rules

Set team size, max roster size, minimum retained members, and placement point rules before opening registration.

  3. 3

    Open registration

Set isPublic to true and open the registration window so captains can create Circuit Teams.

  4. 4

    Create or link tournaments

Create new tournaments or link existing ones to the Circuit.

  5. 5

    Award points after each tournament

After each tournament completes, review placements and award Circuit points from the admin dashboard.

  6. 6

    Monitor standings and continuity

Check standings and roster continuity throughout the season. Use the continuity override for legitimate roster changes.

  7. 7

    Freeze rosters and seed finals

Near the end of the season, freeze rosters and use standings-based seeding to seed the final tournament.

Configure point rules and roster rules before opening registration. Changing them mid-season can create inconsistent standings and player frustration.
