Organization XP and Achievements

Reward participation and wins across Discord queues, ladders, and tournaments with shared progression.

Organization XP gives players a shared progression system across an organization's Discord queues, ladders, and tournaments. It is separate from queue Elo, ladder ratings, seeds, and tournament placements. Those systems measure competitive results. XP and achievements recognize participation and milestones across the whole organization.

Enable organization XP

Open the organization dashboard and choose XP. Turn on Award organization XP, review the award values, and save the settings.

Turn on Public leaderboard when players should be able to browse the standings from the organization site. The leaderboard supports an overall view and a view for each game that has awarded XP.

Enabling XP affects new eligible results. Existing queue, ladder, and tournament history is not awarded automatically. Use Recalculate XP only when you intentionally want to rebuild awards from eligible historical results.

Choose the award rules

AwardWhen it is granted
Match playedAn account-linked participant completes a Discord queue or ladder match.
Match win bonusAn account-linked participant wins a Discord queue or ladder match.
Tournament participationAn eligible entrant participates in the tournament.
Tournament match winAn eligible participant wins a tournament match.
Tournament winnerAn eligible participant wins the completed tournament.

For Discord queues, a player must link the same Discord identity to a GotNext account. For team competitions, every account-linked participant in the recorded lineup or entrant receives the applicable award. Staff, spectators, and people who are not recorded as participants do not receive competition XP.

Organization-wide achievements

Achievements use the organization as their scope. An automatic rule can track Discord queue performance, ladder activity, tournament activity, organization XP, or organization level. Staff can also award a badge manually for a community milestone.

Players can run /gotnext profile in Discord to view their organization XP, level, and earned achievements. See Organization Achievements for rule and visibility settings.

Define levels

Choose Linear progression for evenly spaced levels. Set the XP required for the next level and the system applies the same interval throughout the progression.

Choose Custom progression when each level should have its own threshold. Thresholds must increase from one level to the next. This works well when early levels should arrive quickly and later milestones should require more activity.

Levels are labels derived from cumulative XP. Changing the level curve does not rewrite a player's award history or competitive results.

Corrections and reopened results

XP follows the final recorded result:

  • Correcting a winner reverses the old win awards and grants the new winner's awards.
  • Reopening or disputing a completed match reverses its active awards until the match is resolved.
  • Resolving the match again restores the awards that match the final result.
  • Participation awards remain attached to eligible participants when only the winner changes.

These changes use an award ledger, so a retry or repeated result event does not grant the same award twice.

Review the leaderboard

The public leaderboard shows each player's rank, level, and total XP. Choose a game to rank only the XP earned in that game. Player names link to their organization-scoped profile, including when the organization uses a managed subdomain or custom domain.

Admins can use the XP workspace to review settings, levels, and award history. If a correction looks wrong, verify the competition participants and final result before recalculating the organization.
