Tournament Discord Delivery
Route tournament activity to a game hub, use a tournament-specific webhook, and give players supported Discord commands.
Tournament activity can reach Discord through an organization's connected server or a tournament-specific webhook. Both approaches keep players informed without requiring staff to repost every registration, round, or result by hand.
Organization game hubs
When the tournament belongs to an organization with Discord automation, updates go to the Tournaments channel in the hub for that tournament's game. Different games stay in different categories, so their tournament traffic does not share one feed.
Supported activity includes:
- Registrations
- Check-in reminders
- Registration closing
- Match results and forfeits
- Match disputes
- Completed rounds
- Tournament status changes
Use the organization Discord workspace to create or sync game hubs and test each tournament channel. Automated setup does not create a general announcements channel.
Webhook notifications
An explicit tournament webhook sends tournament activity to the webhook channel you choose. When one is configured, it remains authoritative and the organization bot does not send a duplicate copy.
Webhook notifications include:
- Registration opens
- Check-in reminder (sent when the check-in window opens)
- Match-ready alerts (notifies both players when a match is ready to play)
- Round results and bracket updates
Bot commands for players
Players can use these slash commands directly from your Discord server:
/checkinCheck in to an active tournament directly from Discord.
/mymatchView your current match details, including opponent info and lobby instructions.
/reportReport the result of your match. Both players must confirm the score.
